Bluespoon Restaurant & Bar

Unfortunately, my wife and I had high hopes for this place, as it was our last dining experience before we left Amsterdam. To start, the service staff has not been properly educated on the menu items. Several times the server had to leave the table to get a simple question answered, and that was after we had ordered items that they apparently no longer had in-house. We were not informed of these missing menu dishes until well after we had looked everything over. Every dish, (except the patatas bravas) came out barely warm...and the kitchen was roughly 10 meters from our table. The cuttlefish dish was memorable, simply because it had barely any cuttlefish in it. To top it all off, the staff cleared the surrounding tables of everything except the silverware, which naturally seems to signal that they wanted everyone to leave. Overall, the service was poor, the food was not worth the price and the ambiance felt like sitting in a hotel lobby. On a positive note, the cocktails were excellent and the barman really knew his stuff. I was also very impressed with how quiet the open kitchen was. I recommend avoiding this restaurant on your trip to Amsterdam.

It was a very good bar with authentic cocktails and atmosphere. Tried it again two days ago and it was a disaster - cocktails menu shrink to 3 options, staff not knowing of any other, very slow service and even the cocktails they could make were very unbalanced. Such a shame... Decorations are still in place though.

Descansando en un sofá, pedí unas tapas. Te sientes como si estuvieras en un restaurante de lujo caro pero los precios son muy amigables. La comida era muy buena, la tarta de queso manchego divina. Nunca había comido una tarta de queso tan deliciosa. ¡Muy recomendable!

Cada uno de nosotros tenía una paella (uno era el arroz negro con sepia y el otro era pollo). Ambos han estado muy frescos, bien hechos y rivalizan con los que hemos tenido en España antes. Prepárate para esperar un poco, pero merece la pena. El personal también fue muy amable y los precios para el almuerzo sorprendentemente buenos para un lugar tan elegante.

Un agradable ambiente sea para comer o tomar una copa. Vale ver la decoración, es preciosa.
